Arun Kaul, CFA, is Chief Investment Strategist of Axxes Capital. Mr. Kaul has over 30 years of industry experience, including the management of equities, bonds, multi-asset strategies, and hedge funds. He has also overseen manager-of-managers platforms and conducted diligence on hundreds of private market strategies covering private equity, debt, and real estate.
Mr. Kaul also serves as President and Chief Investment Officer of Boutique CIO, providing comprehensive investment solutions to family offices, private clients, and RIAs.
Previously, Mr. Kaul was Chief Investment Strategist at Chicago-based Mainstreet Advisors (now a unit of Fifth Third Bank), which managed over $4 billion in assets primarily for community banks and their private clients. He has also served as President and Chief Investment Officer of a $2 billion RIA based in Boca Raton. Additionally, Mr. Kaul was Principal and Co-Chief Investment Officer of Hillsdale Investment Management, Inc., a firm he helped grow from inception to more than $500 million by managing long/short and traditional equity, high-frequency trading, and income hedging strategies.
Mr. Kaul earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance and Economics from Western University. He also holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a frequent speaker at conferences and corporate events, regularly contributes to industry publications, and has mentored dozens of graduates through Boutique CIO's internship program. Mr. Kaul is the co-author of The Financial Advisor’s Guide to Private Investments, a book designed to provide advisors with access, insight, and confidence as they navigate the growing private markets landscape.
